Homemade strawberry simple syrup is the perfect addition to any summer drink or treats. It’s so easy to make and requires only 3 simple ingredients!

I’ve been making a lot of iced tea and mocktails that having this strawberry syrup in my fridge just makes sense for the season. Strawberries are on my top favorite fruits of the summer, they’re delicious, plump and very fragrant! I also find them very versatile to use so making syrups out of them was exciting for me.
There are so many ways to use strawberry simple syrups, which I’ll share but I really hope you make this recipe as a healthy alternative from the store-bought ones which are usually full of chemicals and artificial or ‘natural’ flavorings which aren’t good for anymore.
The best thing about this recipe is how quick it is to make, you can use either fresh or frozen strawberries and it keeps well for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.

- Fresh or frozen strawberries
- White granulated sugar
- Water
How to make strawberry simple syrup
- If you are using fresh strawberries, make sure to wash them throughly to get rid of dirt.
- Cut the tops off and then slice them up into quadrants or give them a rough chop.
- Add them into a small saucepan and add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white granulated sugar.
- Let it simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes till all the sugar dissolves.
- Strain with a fine mesh wire strainer and set it aside to cool.
- Transfer into a bottle or jar and store in the fridge.
